However, did you know that concrete canvas is also used as a material that can realize the appearance of elements in architectural and interior design?

In January 2014, Concrete Canvas was used by Frances Richardson in the project “Sculpture at Bermondsey Square,” which was an extension of her work from Studio Lubomirov-Easton in Deptford, London. Richardson created an MDF support that looked like a soft cloth or hanging curtain, but upon closer inspection, it was actually Concrete Canvas material that hardened after the hydration process and formed a thin, fabric-like concrete.

Concrete Canvas has also been used for low-carbon housing design as part of the ‘Essential Home Research Project’, a collaboration between Holcim and the Norman Foster Foundation.

The project design was presented in Venice during the 2023 Architecture Biennale to showcase low-carbon and sustainable building materials.

In 2017, Mammafotogramma was asked to design and arrange an interior store in Milan, an iconic store with the name “Dolly Noire”. Mammafotogramma used Concrete Canvas for the cashier desk and several tables to position the display of the products being sold.

After a successful project in 2017, they returned to Concrete Canvas in 2019; Mammafotogramma collaborated with Base and Timberland on the “Urban Greening” project to transform a Post-Industrial courtyard into a new urban area, integrated with nature and environmentally friendly.
